Yvonne Robertson is a 20+ year resident of Don Valley West. She is raising a family and building a business. But current domestic and
international concerns have led her to step into the political arena.She is a Havergal College graduate and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Economics from Bishop’s University. After studying in Central America for a period of time, she went to the UK and received a Law Degree from the University of London.

In 1997, Yvonne Robertson incorporated her company Matrix Power Services Ltd in Canada, bringing specialized electrical products throughout North America. This company continues to grow and is headquartered here on Mount Pleasant Road.

She married Jason Robertson in 2000 and the family began to grow soon after. Having spent many years expanding the business, caring for their 3 children and volunteering in the community, Yvonne learned the vital skills of prioritizing and maximizing efficiency. As the years went on, her professional commitments grew as she developed other export products and brokered new markets.

One of these companies is Sahara and Co.A wellness company specializing in all natural teas, candles and bath therapies. Having expansive small business experience, Yvonne has also managed to help many women and men alike find their entrepreneurial spirit and follow their dreams. Encouraging the art of the small business plan through one’s passion and interest is important to her and she has helped many local residents start their own businesses.

On a personal note, Yvonne is a mother of 3 teenagers. The family of 5 have spent their life in Don Valley West, nust north of Eglinton.

She supports many local charities and in particular is proud of the working alongside the officers at 53 Division through their Cops and Kids program.
